It was wonderful to meet you all, a great group a friendly fun folks! Some families, some eccentrics, music and laughs - a perfect mix for a gathering. And so fun for me to have a tour of your various vans and their improvements. I drove the back road from Twain to Butterfly Valley, then on to Quincy. Road pretty gnarly a couple miles in, steep, single track, muddy with Cliff drop off on one side. Amazing that Blake did that in a single gear bike! Hiked pretty Meadow, wildflowers and…

Our camping group got a compliment from the camp host. As he was cleaning up on Sunday, he mentioned how little trash we left behind and how clean our campsites were. Good job everybody, it’s part of rule number one, be nice! Especially to the camp host. Thanks everybody for coming and having such a good time!

Well, looks like the bus doesn't want to go camping :( Made it to just about the Carquinez bridge and she started bucking and died, poor girl. Ran the battery out trying to restart, and had to call AAA for a tow home. If I can get her running, I may try to make it up tomorrow. Please feel free to use my spot as it's not looking good right now :( Have fun!!

Those of you who are new to this event may want to make yourselves aware of the refueling opportunities. Coming from the west on Highway 70, I highly recommend stopping in Oroville and filling your gas tank. There is a 76 station on Feather River Blvd, right off Highway 70. From here, you have about 70 miles to the campground. Next gas is in Quincy or Greenville, about 20 miles from the campground in the other direction. Or, if you want to do math, 90 miles from Oroville.
