The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather River Canyon, it is a real treat! The weather can be variable in June.

Those looking for hot springs can find them a couple miles up the road. Formerly known as "Woody's", the Feather River Hot Springs are now associated with an RV park and cabins. I think you need to call to make a reservation.

The Twain Store is walking distance from the campground and has ice, ice cream, deli items, breakfast and lunch, beer and much more.
The camp host will have firewood for sale.

I'm in spot #15, as I was last year.
And, as usual, I'm happy to share.
I'm in #12
I'm keeping this on the back burner. It's a good one. I might use this GTG as a stopping point if a continued road trip to Montana works out. I won't book a site until more is known. There's a lot of, depends, goin on with this. ~RL, Dubless
It is a good launching pad for all kinds of road trips. It would be great to see you Regis. I am dubless, too, and I'm in 16. I will update the list when there are a few more takers.
Regis, do you want me to hold my half-a-space for you? That way, if the campground fills up, you'll still have a space. and if you decide to give this one a miss, let me know and I'll free it up again.
Thanks for the thought. We're still six months out on this so maybe not save anything just yet. I'll know more about my 2023 plans around the end of Feb or so. I was even thinking of hangin at Hallsted for that following Mon and Tues as well. Lots of depends goin on there. I remain in spirit. Peace, ~RL
