The place is holding aside 10 spots for us. The way to get yours is to send your contact info and a check to:
MVFA
9009 Orvel Becket Court
Placerville, Ca 95667-9040
It's $20 a night and they need at least 1 night to hold your spot. So you can send $20 or you can send $40 by check. If you send $20 and are staying 2 nights, you'll owe $20 when you show up.
AND - to make sure you are with the group when you arrive, write "VW Campers" on your check memo or a note when you send in your check to let them know to put you with the group.
A full refund will be given as long as they cancel the Wednesday before your arrival.
So, get excited! Plan your bus costumes, pumpkin designs and disco outfits now. Okay, maybe that last one only applies to me.
Be prepared to Trick or Drink.

That is a real loss. But, we are used to fending for ourselves and have been known to whip up some crazy good meals!

Flush toilets and running water in sink. No shower. Don't think there's any hot water. Very basic. No hair driers, fingertip towels or rest room attendants.

My reservation is for Saturday, just a one-nighter for me.
So what is the tradition for this campout at Finnon? Dress up the bus, trick or drink, costumes, smashing pumpkins? Other than the usual, "bring wood, bring wine".
