Well, Ok. But only if you gnaw on a turkey leg

Bruce, I know what you are going through. My dad just passed away on October 10th from cancer. It was really tough watching him fade away. All we could do was try and make him as comfortable as possible.

Many condolences to you and your family.

Thanks KK, its something you cannot really relate too until you have been there and done that.

My condolences to you too... show up and have some fine tequila with me!

Good question about the menu. Time will be gobbled up between now and the event. What I know is that I'm bring a 13# bird. What I think I know is that Mike is bringing a ham and a pot of seafood stew is on the table.
I'm thinking that 20-30ish people will be there.
Others have not chimed in yet but a few side salads and some dessert will make for a nice spread. I'll most likely have to be rolled back to my van. Maybe I'll bring a wheel barrow and offer taxi rides back to the respective camp sites.
Most of the dish washing needs to be individual but we'll try to set up a station oz sorts.
Bring wood. Bring wine. Tin foil and zip locks will help.
Just some thoughts

It gets dark early now so maybe 3 - 3:30 dinner time?  4:30 perhaps. Could go later but the dusk might hinder a bit.  That's just me thinkin' again.  Hurts a bit.

I'm going to be making my notsofamous loaded mashed potatoes again this year, gives me something to do while I'm waiting for dinner.  I was thinking about doing a pizza night on Friday with the ez bake ovens....haven't done that in a while.  Will just be nice seeing all those smiling faces again....we could be eating dirt for all I care!  :)
