DESCRIPTION:There continues to be highway construction and related del
 ays in the Feather River Canyon/Highway 70. Check 511.org before you t
 ravel. SR 70 is currently closed. There will also be construction on I
 -80 west of Truckee. The campground is only available from the east by
  way of Quincy (70/89) or Greenville (89).\r\nThe Historic Feather Riv
 er Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the camp
 ground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be fa
 lling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of ste
 el wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather 
 River Canyon, it is a real treat! The weather can be variable in June.
