I don't have favourites for the campfire... generally I just play the music sheets I would have brought along. Gotta learn all the chords of more than a couple songs for when I don't have enough light to read!
Johnny Cash is good...
Gordon Lightfoot...
Tom Waits...
Cat Stevens...
Beatles..
U2...

Um, I think #6 is Harry Chapin, not Cat Stevens.

I usually bring a mandolin or two to campouts, but we don't do the sing-along thing. I just noodle, and sing something if the spirit moves me (and if people don't throw things). My tastes run to John Prine and the acoustic-folkie stuff that people used to like thirty years ago.

And I'm working on the country two-step version of "Piece of My Heart," inspired by John Hartford's version.

We often camp overnight at our nearby county park. One of the best ranger-led presentations was by one ranger who is nutz, in a most wonderful way, who taught the kids at the campground "all the songs every kid should know but your parents and schools won't be teaching you these". ('Great big gobs of greasy, grimy, gopher guts ... ' and so forth.)
We oldies sat in the back row and cheered him on. :-D
