Name this Part

My 1995 Eurovan has a pebble inside this large part. I can hear the rattle and see the pebble, but the part's cover doesn't seem to be removable. Can you name the part, please, so I can have an intelligent conversation with others about how to remove the pebble. Lol. Thank you.

I don't know if I can help, but I also have a 1995 Eurovan, and have had most of it apart at one time or another. If you can describe the part and what it does I may be able to identify it.
