Can the shock tower be removed or is it part of the body? Its a 1970?

It can be removed, it just isn't easy.

Is that a front mount? My friend in Oakland has a welder and we are both OK at it. Muffler shops usually have good welders because they do it all day long. I guess there is no harm in driving it somewhere...

If you're willing to wait a week or two until this semester is over, I could probably fix that pretty quickly. It would be easier to do if you could take it out, but either way works. The hitch is that you'd have to come over to Oakland...

It's fixed now, I found a really good welder in San Carlos.
