I manually copied and pasted recent blog entries which were about the bus or baja only. I couldn't figure out a way to automatically link my blog to the vw camper family site.
A little agricultural town called Knight's Landing. It's on Hwy 113 north of Woodlland on the Sacramento River. I drive through there all the time on the way to visit friends and family where I grew up. There's a steel deck bridge over the river and you make a left onto the levee rd.--can't really see it from the road.
It's on the Sacramento River just outside a small agricultural town north of Woodland called, Knight's Landing--I go by when I go home to see family and friends. I took the picture on the way home from the Trainspotting I campout, June '09.
I have heard about the parking in the pines but have not had the chance to go yet. I know Troy by name only and there are a couple others from thesamba that go too. It sounds like a good group of people and they have a good time.
Yeah, we got lucky and found a deal on a '67 a few years back. Couldn't bring ourselves to get rid of the '78--too many memories! Actually, our '78 is a little famous (in my humble opinion). It was used as the image for several Dave Matthews Band concert posters. Check out my blog: www.bill-the-bus.blogspot.com Very excited to have found a new VW community!!
Thanks for the welcome! My bus is sitting comfortably on jack stands in the garage right now. I'm working on some interior projects and will begin an engine rebuild in the Spring. You probably won't see me until Summer but you will see me as soon as we are on the road again.
