The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather River Canyon, it is a real treat!

Those looking for hot springs can find them a couple miles up the road. Formerly known as "Woody's", they are now associated with an RV and cabin establishment. I think you need to call ahead and there is a $5 fee. Details here:

The Twain Store is walking distance from the campground and has ice, ice cream, deli items, beer and more. The camp host will have firewood for sale.
You can tour the Seven Wonders of the Railroad World in Plumas County:
As the Czarina of Trainspotting, WW, your word is law. We'll skip the formal potluck, but if people want to share their stuff, stuff will be shared.
Sorry Volks, but I have to attend a retirement party for a good freind that weekend.
So Site #1 is now available.
I sure hate to miss this campout - It's always a great time!
Who will be the Camp Greeter?

I hope Westywoman is not getting uppity because she has a Mini Logic and a new refrigerator.
Sorry to see you go, Kampn King. Sites 1, 3 and 15 are available for reservations. And yes, I think I'd like to skip the potluck this year. There are restaurants in Quincy and the Twain Store has some new offerings, so it appears.
Twain Store is looking good, will check it out.
We might share our site with new vw camper family members Dan & Sherrie Sienes, but if site 1, 3 & 15 are available, they might make their own reservation. They were told the park was full?
If anyone needs a spot, I will share.
Virginia M. may be looking for a site to share. And check this link to see the blueberry hand pies that just came out of the oven at the Twain Store:

And mine is still open to share. I don't think we're hurting for space.
A pie in the hand is worth two in the bus.
