Back in the 90's there was a VW club in Cali that gave out a little paper back book to members to keep in your glove compartment that had "on the road travel" member contacts. People and shops in…Continue

Is there already a SoCal VW Camper Group formed?

I don't want to duplicate efforts.  I haven't been able to find any as of yet... but there are so many Westy's on the road down here!

Sunday morning works better for us (plus it's more fun to cruise during the daylight when people can see us :-), but we can do Sunday too if that works for everyone better.

Looks forward to seeing you all soon!

We will be there for sure on Sunday morning.

We'll try to make it on Saturday afternoon too, but not sure we can get up to LA in time.  We'll do our best!

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!  :-(D

I'm sorry I'll miss it. I was in SoCal with my bus during the week between Christmas and New Years.

Regarding a Norcal/Socal meet up, it's something I've been wanting to put together for a while. The largest problem is the location - it needs to be midway, and it needs enough ammenities for all types of camping.

Just to get an idea of interest: How does everyone feel about Lake Nacimiento outside of Paso Robles?

Pine Knoll has showers, Eagles Ridge has group sites and showers are always walkable (admittedly a long walk).

It's midway from Norcal/Socal, it's got a lake for those who travel with kayaks on the roof, Paso Robles is nearby if you want/need stuff, and if you feel like taking the scenic route to Hwy one, it's close.

It's open from April to November. Thoughts?

We will try to make Sunday.. prob closer to 930/10 though.. :)

Not sure about Saturday.. I work across the street from the Counter and really don't   want to be there on my day off or cruise in the dark... A day cruise sounds like much more fun! :)   :) Thanks Orange Crush for organizing!

Outlaws Burger in Playa Del Rey would also be a good place to meet sometime. They have ample parking which is a good thing with these buses! :)

True, Milan has breakfast though, but you're right about parking!

Take pics, post them here. I'd love to see some of the faces and buses behind the online personas.
