I will bring a couple of pies or something... and tequila.

I'm still planning on baking a Texas Sheet Cake (chocolate).

Ric: Sorry to hear you won't join us after all. Better safe than sorry. Be well and take care.

Westywoman, we had prizes last year it was the first annual cook-off. Gift certificate, Jon's custom road CDs and Canerattler donated a cast iron Dutch oven.
Didn't Detlev's wife take first place? Help me out here someone, the old memory's not what it used to be, at least not what I remember it used to be, so even that's suspect...

It looks like we are going to have two bike rides. One to Fosters Bighorn, then one longer one. That way we can all have fun! Then tequila, cake, soup, salad, fire, naps, beer, swag, and great friends. I don't think it could get any better! -Blake

More alcohol I shall be bringing. Found some wine that my dad had... also have an unopened bottle of Walker Green, and Gold that has been opened or had some evaporation. I also have an unopened bottle of Crown 1.75ml... and a gift box of Baileys with matching glasses, and some vanilla cognac. Add to this a box of limited cigars, and the box says aged tequila. The cigars come in glass tubes and the box is still sealed. Maybe these can be prizes... or smoked and drank on site...

OH DAMMIT, You guys! I have not kept up on this page, and it is painful to read about camping! I have not have we been to any recent VW camp outs because: A. Health reasons keep part of the team close to home, B. Part of our team isn't really into it anyway, and C. I am V-dub-less! I was going to make this event even if I was on my deathbed; however, my friend's husband died, and the memorial consumes all Saturday. I think I can stop by on Sunday morning, at least; I have to go to Lodi. I will find my way, just follow Rio Vista sewage treatment smell or the results of the previous night's chili--same thing ;-) o I will attend future campouts (which are open to v-dubbers in recovery), because I miss you all. I am, also, working on a camping abomination! Best wishes to all--I may see some of you Sunday morning if you don't all bug out before 9am or so.

Shari: I rarely bug out before noon on Sunday, please come by for coffee, tea, or a Bloody Mary if that suits you. Would love to see you. You know how to reach me.

Looks like we'll be van-less this weekend.  Engine mounts didn't get replaced in time.  We will be there Saturday morning.

I just talked to Hilda Rust. She said hi to all of us. She is in Morro Bay and won't be able to stop by.
