Event Description

We are going back to Sandy Beach in Rio Vista, CA. This is our annual practice run and food fest  before Thanksgiving. Reserve sites soon as they may go fast if the sport fishermen/women come back this year. Make reservations here:

The geezer rate is available to those of you that qualify. Otherwise, be prepared, it has gone up to $34 per night.

Soza, I've been playing with shade shelter of various type since '09.  I threw up some photos showing a few different configurations.  I could make up to a 70 x 20 footprint

I am willing to take back The Bird responsibility this year. Thanks to Regis for managing The Bird last year. What do folks think about roasting two turkey breasts instead of a full bird? There are some advantages in terms of marinating and managing the size of The Bird in the ice chest.

This works, also called crowning... the only turkey I ever cooked was this way and it was grub!! I used the legs and wings for slow crocked soup...

I don't think it makes any difference to the Weber what birdy parts go into it. So I'm good with anything.

So are you talking turkey breast only or the turkey breast that has some carcass to it as in minus the legs and wings?  No worries either way.  Just askin'
