Hallsted Campground

The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather River Canyon, it is a real treat!

Those looking for hot springs can find them a couple miles up the road. Formerly known as "Woody's", they are now associated with an RV and cabin establishment. I think you need to call ahead and there is a $5 fee. Details here:

Ohhh I like feedback, that means I don't actually have to decide how to change it. Keep the ideas coming and I'll mess with it and pick the best.

Looking like I will have to fill the hot tub in #29 with ice, and fill it with beer and ice cream.

Looks like I'll make it this year.  I'm in Bishop right now, but on the way North.

Does anyone have room me?  If not I'll just wing it.... What the heck :)

Brian- we have several options for you. I have at least 1 and possibly 2 sites available. There are also several folks willing to share. We'll fit you in. Bring lots of ice and swim gear.

I might shift over to site 9 so I can be closer to the action if its still open. My friend/Syds playmate are bailing on us, and I can at least say hi to everyone as they pass by when Syd's napping and asleep at night

Jamez- keep the shadiness in mind...9 might be a bit sunny. Are you coming up Friday?
