Event Description

We are going back to Sandy Beach in Rio Vista, CA. This is our annual practice run and food fest  before Thanksgiving. Reserve sites soon as they may go fast if the sport fishermen/women come back this year.

Party Central will be at spot #4.

Westywoman, in retrospect I owe you an apology.  I'm the one with the nasty mind. If you need a boner, by all means get one.

 After thinking about it, the spatchcocked turkey makes a lot of sense. The only problem I see, is getting a range turkey to look like that will be difficult without tire marks on it.

No worries, Gene, I am the one who threw the double-entendre out there for your amusement. I am going to ask the butcher at SaveMart if they will do the back-breaking work for me. And, if not for this campout, then maybe for me at home a few days later! After all, John LaT has the grilling of the whole turkey down to a science and we don't necessarily want to mess with tradition.
