 ng Rock State Historic Park (IGR) is located in the Sierra Nevada foot
 hills 12 miles east of Jackson, CA. The park nestles in a little valle
 y 2,400 feet above sea level with open meadows and large valley oaks t
 hat once provided the Native Americans of this area with an ample supp
 ly of acorns. There is a museum and Native American village here to to
 ur. Several easyish nature trails provide views of the park and wildli
