Wines for Camping

Happy Campers Wine. For starters, I brought this label's Cabernet Sauvignon to last weekend's campout in Napa and was pleased on two fronts: one: it has a screw-top, which makes it convenient; two: the Cabernet Sauvignon was a great camping wine, not too oaky, not too much tannin, not too much sweetness. Right in-between and good for a wide range of cookery. I bought it for $5.99 on sale at the Sacramento Co-Op. It's nice to find a decent $5.99 wine for camping.

Actually, I took box wine with me to Death Valley last January and it was a good solution for a longer trip. There are some decent box wines out there.

I know some may disagree but~ BOX WINE! Box Wine~ especially Franzia Sangria or Sunset Blush. Easy to pour without spilling, you don't have to worry about breakable glass and you get about 4 bottles to a box! With the price close to $15 give or take it makes a good wine for sharing with your camping friends too!
