Procrastination. :) I changed my gmail address as well, due to so much Spam. I was getting like 300 emails a day or something...  I wanted to scrap the blog and start from scratch anyway. I figure for now I'll just post my pics and stories on this Camper Family forum, and figure out the rest from there.

well. it is titled as a 73.  but what ever.  yeah..a nice westy.  orange just like the one in your pictures.

maybe you can help me out.  i will be starting some fix up..after the first of the year.

have been trying to figure out how to drop the paneling (headliner) in the front part of the cab..to get the fiberglass passenger tray  off the roof.  also i will be redoing the tarp. have you done either of those?

pretty much everything else i am familiar with.  but yeah...i got lucky...it was a low mileage one owner van that was put up in 1975...i got it in '93.  came will all the stuff including the original tent. never up.   i've never used it to camp but put it up once just to see if it was all there..  i've had several old split windows....but  i really like this one the best.  i was threatening to rebuild the engine...but it still runs great....good even compression and doesnt burn much oil.  usual leaks though.

only mods are a weber 2 stage carb, and pertronix point eliminator.

i recently did clutch pressure plate, brakes, ball joints, tie rods, rear bearing,  and cv joints.  already have all the new rubber and stuff for when i get around to replacing the nose...due to rust under the windshield....and as i mentioned the second story tarp. the original orange plaid seats are still in good shape. man that is some tough stuff.
