My first time meeting a younger Westy (II)

Here I am parked (on the left) outside a used bookstore in Carpinteria, CA, in April 2010 to look for the John Steinbeck book 'Travels with Charlie'. "Why?" you may ask. ...... I was on my maiden voyage across America after collecting my 1971 VW from Medford, Oregon, which I'd purchased from an eBay car dealer. I drove over 9,000 miles before coming home to Massachusetts and was on the road 6 months. Was I lucky with my eBay purchase, or what!
