Finished curtains, bed cover and Beads ~

Wanted to share the shots of the finished fabrics that got added to the interior of the Bus - I didn't pay a dime for anything - all of the fabric I bought years ago, and the beads too - I originally used the beads for some mobiles, but no shops wanted them..so there I was stuck with a gazillion of 'em ~ So being the tightwad I am, I simply put all of them to another use.

Now the interior looks much more cozy, and all together it barely took any time at all. The beads over the rear… Continue

Da Bus ~

So, even tho the trip to get the Bus was juuuust a tad bit longer than I'd expected, it was soo worth all those miles ~ ! ~ And after looking online, checking the newspaper for good Running vehicles, it was definetly all good.

Now the fun gets going into the next gear ~ The curtains, beads and other assorted goodies are setting about inside, and the extra things can be added - when it doesn't look like there could be any space to put anything, there Shall Be a Way to do…

We just got the Bus a little over 2 months ago ~ I used Samba ..actually our middle son told me about it, an' he got me to the site. I really looked for months to find something that was in pretty good condition ~ But even with that, we still had to drive over 4 hours to get the one out in the driveway. It's a '73 Type 2 ~ I absolutely love it!! An, yeah, I do get the occasional "Whoa! ~ Cool Bus!" ~ but for the most part, it's those Damn Hippy glares an' under the breath comments that rattle me. Hey, I AM an old hippy, so that's what is makin' me kinda starting to laugh about it all ~ ! ~ The biggest thing we gotta do is the paint job ~ All the mechanical is in totally great shape ~ The Husband just did a tune up on it over the weekend, an' now it sounds really good.
