70% chance of rain on Friday and Saturday. Is everyone still planning on going in the rain? Shelby and I are having second thoughts.

I am playing this one by ear...you know these forecasters are prone to overstatement to get the ratings...nothing could be worse than the 6" of rain at Mt. Madonna on 11-01-08. Ya know, we had a really good time, in spite of it all. Come prepared.

OF COURSE we are going to be there, no matter the weather.
We will get a wee bit muddy, we will all eat, drink red wine and be Mary.

It is not that far away. If it gets too troublesome, just drive home and come back in the morning.

If I recall correctly, this place has paved roads and parking, so only the grassy area might be muddy. I will be there Saturday. Too bad the tent meister won't be there with the big tent.

Even with the rain, this is a fun event. Come along and endure, regardless of weather.

Is anyone thinking of menu-planning, esp for Sat night? For example, I could bring salad if someone brings sausages, someone else brings baked beans, pie, bread, veggie quiche, cheese, fruit, you name it. I actually haven't thought that far ahead and it would be nice not to have to buy all that food for one. Potluck, anyone?

Sorry, I can't make it again. If anyone is in Palo Alto Saturday, stop by Lytton/Middlefield to see the crew in action, digging up the street to make some underground utiity repairs. Hopefully the rain will let us do what we need to do.
