Saddle up Volks!VWCF is going to the foothills near Lake Oroville at Lime Saddle Campground. This place is beautiful this time of year whilst it's still green and the wildflowers are out. Soon after, this place is parched and HOT. LS is fairly new, with flush commodes and showers. There's a nice short trail amongst the oaks with an explosion of wildflowers. This is #13! It's time to be back together again to consume food and make merry! We are going back to Sandy Beach in Rio Vista, CA. This is our annual practice run and food fest before Thanksgiving. The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks.
