Michigan camping spots

We  just returned from our Minnesota  cabin which means transversing Michigan from The South east corner, Port Huron to the North east corner Iron River. We live in Buffalo.

Michigan is one big state and has some of the best lake shore rest stops, State parks,  National Forest and Free Road side rest stops.

I'm convinced that we've only begun to scratch the surface of the "free"and beautiful camp spots that are perfect for VW Camper Road travelers.

For those of us that want to cover ground when on the road finding free and safe spots to take a swim and spend the night is a real reward.

Developing a Discussion sharing our  discoveries of places to stop and tips to make the most of our road trips could be really cool.

OK I'm putting this idea out and may be it can expand to other states and places that we all can eventually enjoy with our vagabond campers.
