Carpinteria - Maiden Voyage after picking up in Utah

Feb 2007. We drove from Utah to Vegas and overnighted. Then Vegas to UCLA for a basketball game - after the game we headed up to Carpinteria to camp. Very cold that night - woke up to snow in the foothills!

After driving through a 2-day storm across Utah, Nevada and southern California...and getting blown about by the high winds and trucks (we're talking hours of white-knuckle driving), we went straight to GW (from SB) to get new wheels, tires and Bilstein shocks. What a difference! Despite the cross winds and trucks - the rest of the drive was so much nicer.
