I just joined the group in hopes of receiving info regarding a road trip I will be taking in June. Reading thru comments I find you have traveled east a number of times. I plan to take I-90 east to Sioux Falls and then down south and east to Birmingham, Alabama where my daughter is in school. I want to visit Yellowstone either on my way down or back depending on the weather. I am also thinking of visiting the Badlands area. I would appreciate any information you might have for sight-seeing, camping grounds, visits to Yellowstone, or mechanics along the way. Thanks, Carol
I'm driving East this year again; to spend the Summer with my daughters in the Boston area. I'm leaving on or about 21 May and wil pobably take I-90 all the way across. I did I-80, but the trip between Salt Lake City, UT and Cheyenne, WY just plain sucks. As for mechanics, I never had to find one. Check out the Vanagon Rescue Squad (http://www.vanagonauts.com/Vanagon-Rescue-Squad74.htm). There's also an Android app available.
For some reason, I really liked Sioux City . . . .
