Finnon is back open! Let's not miss another Fall Finnon Fest, This year, since we are so close to Halloween, let's finally have a decorate the VWs campout.
Saturday evening - dinner in walking distance at the Rock Creek Cafe
Saturday night: bus to bus trick or treating and a bus costume contest!
They seem more organized than before. It is $20/site/night. Teaming up with another bus makes it cheaper, so you might want to grab a buddy. Reservations are highly recommended.
Details on reservations:
Everyone should go ahead and send a deposit of $20.00 to hold the space or go ahead and pay the $40.00 for the weekend, we only take checks. A full refund will be given as long as they cancel the Wednesday before your arrival. Checks shoud be made out to MVFA at the address lited below.

So glad we moved Fall Finnon Fest into October! Once again, this coming weekend, temps will be in the mid-90's. Had we gone with September again, that would be 3 years in a row well over 90. One year it was 105! Looking forward to the true Fall Fest in late October! Well done Brett!

MC Mike, I know Big Blue will have Oak (toddler) with them. There are some new people coming and I don't know if they have kids. But kids are totally welcome and there have been kids at our campouts in the past.
Remember everyone! Think halloween/thanksgiving decorations for your van/bus!

There's also fun things for kids at the campground, including a frisbee golf course, a loop road for bike riding (knobby tires best) and maybe a some water in the reservoir, although I understand they are filling it slowly. The cafe has good food, too! I think the ghost horse is gone, sadly.

No ghost horse!?!?! MC Mike - We may leave Oak at home with a babysitter as he doesn't sleep well in the bus. He wakes up and wants to play. But there is plenty for kids to do and it's a very safe place for them to play.

Anyone else getting reservations? I know more people are planning on this but want to make sure you guys all have a spot. Who knows? - it may be no problem and the place will probably be wide open, but consider it just to be safe.

Brett, I've been watching the weather ... rain pretty much all this week, but clearing by Thursday. If the rain extends into the weekend, let me know so I can bring the Tent of Doom (and Annex of Despair, if we're really going to have twenty-some buses showing up).
