Event Description

We are now meeting at Furnace Creek at the Texas Springs Campground. The majority felt that this was a better choice. It would seem to offer the most amenities. It will be much warmer than Panamint Springs. So Furnace Creek it is at the Texas Springs Campground. See you there and thanks for your patience! The group will migrate to Tecopa Springs and then to BBB.

It'll take some magic, voodoo, tarrot, or whatever, anything just short of the Faustian journey. It's almost painful to see the posts on the calendar and not be able to go. :-)

Comment by westywoman (Melissa) on December 17, 2009 at 11:25am: It is being planned and discussed by volks on the Vanagon mailing list and possibly in other forums as well. The Death Valley thing is only a handful of participants that I know of but as we publicize it, I think it may grow. It was started by a group from the great white north and NW USA as a stop on the way to BBB. That's all I know. I spoke to the primary organizer by phone the other day to weigh in and confirm the final campground choice.
