Event Description
We are going back to Sandy Beach in Rio Vista, CA. This is our annual practice run and food fest before Thanksgiving. Reserve sites soon as they may go fast if the sport fishermen/women come back this year. Make reservations here:

The geezer rate is available to those of you that qualify. Otherwise, be prepared, it has gone up to $34 per night.

Is it too early to discuss who's bringing what? For me, I'll be bringing the Weber, some home-made cranberry sauce, and the usual salt potatoes. I presume that somebody else (WW?) is bringing the bird, and maybe some basting stuff for it.

I'm bringing shade for wet and/or dry along with cole slaw. Cole slaw will have secret east coast dressing. Tasty yum yums for all

I'll be doing the usual loaded mashed potatoes, although now that the WHO deems bacon a carcinogen you will have to eat them at your own risk! I should be arriving around noonish or so if ya need help with the awnings. Can't wait, rain or shine!

My internet at home is terrible, so I'm on borrowed WiFi. We (hopefully Mike will want to go, but definitely)or I, will bring our No-MSG, no poultry T-day dressing. SO looking forward to seeing the gang again!

John are you bringing the charcoal or does somebody else need to bring that? I am bringing the bird along with marinade and butter for basting. I'll dig around for a serving tray, although I think a throw-away aluminum roasting pan is probably the best option. Unless someone has a really big carving board with gutters.

I agree with the roasting pan. Good place for Bird to park while resting and then be able to pull it all apart.

Excellent - I'll make marinated & grilled shrooms & veggies on my lil camp size Weber. Melissa - I'll bring plenty of charcoal for that and for your Turkey on the big Weber.
