Event Description
Let's get into condition for Thanksgiving with our third (or is it fourth?) Annual Thanksgiving Feed. This year we'll be at Del Valle, where it maybe won't rain so much. We'll provide a turkey, but bring whatever side dishes you want for the Saturday Potluck under the Tent of Doom.

John has been so kind to get this together, so I will get the "erle". I think the rioting in Oakland will be winding down enough by this weekend so I can hit the Smart & Final to secure this golden elixir. It is 5 gallons of peanut oil, and if you have been watching the news lately peanut prices have skyrocketed, so any contributions in that regard would be appreciated.

Ok..got the oil so were all set in that regard. I really lucked out too. It was on sale at S&F for $39.95 and I got the next to last one they had. I was gonna cheat and bring some old 30w I had hangin around, but volks would probably notice :)

Haha! Thanks Kris, I'm certain we can pass the hat to cover your expenses. I hear you can recycle that stuff. I guess I need to work on this year's marinade injection for the bird.

@Kris: I am assuming a 12-14 lb bird is okay with your fryer. Let me know if it is different.

It's a 30qt model and it says it will do up to a 20lb turkey, so that should be just fine.
