My Description: High in the mountains of Snoqualmie Pass, WA, view lake Katchess from ~5,000 ft. Osprey soar under eagles. Clouds form.
You can almost see the curvature of the earth (or maybe it's just me...) Fly a kite, or swing a golf club and watch that ball go for a mile (then go pick it up and bring it back you jerk!). On the edge of a cliff, this camping spot is one of the most adventurous I've been to. Expect to be astonished. Expect weather. Expect to talk about
it for a while.

I'm not going to post pictures because it's just that cool. You need to see it for yourself. If you've been on the list for years you may have seen some pics :)

Directions: To be posted (to this list) and marked extensively on the way up, but it starts like thus:
From I-90, take Hyak exit, head north, and follow the service road to the right which parallels I-90. Watch for signs.

I'm planning on stopping in Snoqualmie Pass to serve as a guide up the roads on Friday around noon for any interested parties.

Things to be aware of:
- NO potties! -- this is a way-out-there location and pooping occurs naturally in natural places with natural consequences. BRING TP and if your conscience dictates, a way to pack out your poop.
- NO AAA rescue. AAA will not come up there to save you! AAA doesn't drive up the forest service roads. Your fellow VW enthusiasts will likely save you, but your mileage may vary depending on what happened the previous evening.
- FIRE BANS happen often up there -- we may have to throw 10,000 glow sticks in a pit and pretend. Oh yeah, brink glow sticks just in case.
- BLACK BEARS -- I like sleeping in something made of metal!
(seriously, little danger here, they are skittish)

Other stuff:

- elk (fun to watch)
- eagles
- osprey
- chipmunks
- deer
- fox (probably won't see one)
- bunny rabbits (too many jokes here)

Fees:
Camping: $0
The View and Experience: priceless
