well. it is titled as a 73. but what ever. yeah..a nice westy. orange just like the one in your pictures.
maybe you can help me out. i will be starting some fix up..after the first of the year.
have been trying to figure out how to drop the paneling (headliner) in the front part of the cab..to get the fiberglass passenger tray off the roof. also i will be redoing the tarp. have you done either of those?
pretty much everything else i am familiar with. but yeah...i got lucky...it was a low mileage one owner van that was put up in 1975...i got it in '93. came will all the stuff including the original tent. never up. i've never used it to camp but put it up once just to see if it was all there.. i've had several old split windows....but i really like this one the best. i was threatening to rebuild the engine...but it still runs great....good even compression and doesnt burn much oil. usual leaks though.
only mods are a weber 2 stage carb, and pertronix point eliminator.
i recently did clutch pressure plate, brakes, ball joints, tie rods, rear bearing, and cv joints. already have all the new rubber and stuff for when i get around to replacing the nose...due to rust under the windshield....and as i mentioned the second story tarp. the original orange plaid seats are still in good shape. man that is some tough stuff.
Sorry you were not able to camp much it is such an awesome place i wound up going to northern minnesota (bemidji) on a road trip came back through the badlands and devils tower i need to post some of those photos may head up to your part of the country next sept i have a couple of weeks for a road trip
ok put in my photos..sorry I too procrastate..and spent too much time deleting my emails..like you..100's a day mostly from?????and never read. it's a cleanable old heater, gas heater..need rewireing to..
