I liked the campground as it had very nice sites and the price was reasonable. The lake wasn't all that great like you said. It did have something other than just flat land which makes it interesting. Not being from that area, I really didn't know where the really cool places to see were. We were looking for a place close to Roswell. With a name like Marrs, sounds the same as Mars, we were there for the allien stuff. That part of New Mexico is all pretty flat. We were on our way back from a trip to Florida and Roswell was has always been on our places to see list as well as Carlsbad. When you get finished with your bus, come to Oregon.

It would be great to see you come to PNW. Here in La Pine, Or. which is on the east side of the Cascades, the sunny side, it rains a little too much for me in Portland, there is soooooo much camping to be had, such beautiful places, lakes, rivers, mountains and open country too. Valcanos, lava flows and lava tubes, calderas with lakes and obsidian flows, Crater Lake, and lots of VW Campers. I also belong to another VW Camping Club, the WetWesties. You can find them at www.wetwesties.org online. We have campouts all year around all over the PNW from the sea to eastern Washington and Oregon. I sponsor one here in La Pine at the Sheep Bridge Campground. It is the as close to the peak of the perseid metor showers as possible, we all make foil hats and have lots of fun. We have sooo many campouts, I take pictures of them and post them on Flickr for all to see, it's like being there. If you would like to check some of them out, just go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/planetmarrs/ and check out all the sets you would like. The Trip is of my trip to Florida, and has the pictures of my stop in Roswell and Carlsbad at the Caverns, plus all the rest of the trip. Buses by the Bridge in Lake Havasu City in Az. is quite the deal, something you might like to go to sometime. There were over 300 buses there this year. Thanks for making me a friend.
