Join us in the scenic and historic Feather River Canyon at Hallsted Campground in the Plumas National Forest. The campout will feature tie-dyeing and a potluck dinner Saturday.
Please Note: All sites have been reserved as of 5/19. You will need to arrange a share if you do not have a reservation. See the comment wall for a list of known campers and sites.
There are National Forest Service free campsites nearby as well as camping at the Twain Store, both within walking distance. The link to the Hallsted campground where the campout is being held is in the header above.
The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather River Canyon, it is a natural and cultural resource treat!

Those looking for hot springs can find them a couple miles up the road. Formerly known as "Woody's", they are now associated with an RV and cabin establishment. I think you need to call ahead and there is a $5 fee. Details here:

I'm thinking that the pull-through site is 14?
Sheesh, Regis, you are correct. I stand corrected, the pull-through is indeed 14. Thanks!
As of this writing, for Friday night, site 4, 5 and 20 are open.
For Saturday night, site 4 is open.
My mad math skills states that someone will be in 5 and 20 for only one night.
Are they us? Some one wanting to spent the weekend could pony along with the Friday thing and saddle up for Saturday.
Yepper, always thinkin'
Or is that pony up and saddle along. I'm cornfused.
Natural Foods Co-Op, I hope they are open early... I will be leaving early to meet a bud in Oregon to dig for Sunstones (kind of a bucket list thing)Would be nice to have us some good meat to grill.
So a couple 1.8T's are comin', huh?
drag race, drag race, drag race. (subliminal)

Oh, no no no no. I'm still in dream state rubbin' two nickels together.
Stephan is going to be there in Melissa's site.
Maybe a burn out contest? Although his is 4-wheel.
The CG is in a circle. Could do a left turn only 10 lap
TS-5 Cup race.
'been rubbin' those nickels together so hard they melted into a dime.
I peeled out of the campground onto Highway 70 in Stephan's Synfalia back in 2009...left a nice patch going UPHILL!
