Event Description
Camping along scenic Highway 70 in Twain, CA. Fall asleep to the rumbling of the trains, soak in Woody's Hot Spring nearby. Hallsted Campground (NFS). Site 13 is home. Reservations are available at www.recreation.gov. Type in Hallsted. Many folks are willing to double up. June 4 update: Booked so far are: 7-15 and 17-19. Recommend 20. Avoid 16 if you want privacy.Raffle of prizes and potluck Saturday afternoon-evening.

Time for Train Spotting chatter to begin. Don't forget the potluck Saturday evening. There aren't any assignments, just bring what you like. It worked out well last year. If you want to chime in and tell us what you're bringing, feel free. I will probably bring grilled turkey sausages and a bag of salad.

I can't wait! I have no idea what Romy and I will be bringing for saturday night, but there will be wine, for sure! And guess what - There is a very good chance we will be driving up there in the bus! Yay! Finally. . . now I hope I didn't jinx it.
