The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather River Canyon, it is a real treat!

Those looking for hot springs can find them a couple miles up the road. Formerly known as "Woody's", they are now associated with an RV and cabin establishment. I think you need to call ahead and there is a $5 fee. Details here:

The Twain Store is walking distance from the campground and has ice, ice cream, deli items, beer and more. The camp host will have firewood for sale.

Let's hope the rainy season is really finally over.
Do we want to put a notice on one of the other VW camper sites like the one Joe has on Facebook to drum up more business?
Dave & Yolanda will be sharing with us, and I am trying to round up more.
The weather forecast includes the chance of rain and thunderstorms. I will take that any day over the 100's we have seen in some past years. Be prepared. Check it out for yourself here:

Sorry - I’m not going to make it. If anyone shows up, my site is paid for tonight. Have fun!
Good times! Small group but right-sized. Westywoman had no annoying raffles, potlucks or swag. Oops, sorry, I mean that's been fun in the past but this was just simply lovely and the weather was divine.
The Twain Store has really upped their game. We all went to the store for lunch on Saturday and I think everyone was happy with their choices. Especially the strawberry-rhubarb pie.
The Twain Store has a new website and I encourage you to check it out. We plan on doing the Saturday lunch again next year.
Had a great time as usual with the fam. I liked adding the “bus tour” with snacks and tastings. Enjoyed the Twain Store and we look forward to a visit next time. I enjoyed the smaller group, very intimate which allowed us to get to know all better, BTW, I really love you guys. Miss you all already, Kathy & Mike
