VW Camper Family

A camping forum for VW bus and camper owners.

I got all my panels in, curtains, headliner, and now all I need is an affordable camping kit. I was wondering if anyone had any aftermarket sources.

I've done a little bit of research and found a couple companies but wondering if there are more out there in the US. Here's the main one I found in the US  http://rvtec-camperinteriors.com/ but their kits run $2500 for everything.

And then there are some of the UK companies like Van Wurks that look really cool, but they are costly too and currently don't ship to the US. http://vanwurks.co.uk/e107_plugins/e107shop/product_details.php?pro...

I see these things come up on craigslists from time to time. Someone guts a bus to make it a rat rod and tries to sell the interior for $400.

Not sure where Marina is in California, but I'd call the Bus Lab in Berkeley or Valley Wagon Works in San Rafael and see if they have any leads...

Awesome! Will do! Thanks so much!

Marina is next to Fort Ord. Think Monterey.

The Buslab has a bed for sale, I know that for sure. It is a later  model (>71) and they have it in a '57. Tell them Joe sent you.  Cabinets are easier to get a hold of, and I may have a lead on one.

Also, there are free plans available if you are handy working with plywood.

RAD!!! Never heard of these guys! Thanks!

I was thinking about doing the same thing in one of my Buses. I would like to see what you ended up doing and who you used.
