R12 refrigerant for 76 Westy in Austin

I have an R12 system in my Westy located in Austin.  I need more R12 in my system or convert to R134a.

Does anyone know anyone in Austin area that charges R12 or what success have you had in using the convesion kit from R12 to R134a.

I understand air conditioning I really do especially in Austin but why do you want to expose your aircooled hard to find 2.0L motor (good parts are getting hard to find) to the extra heat and strain that an air conditioner will put on your motor????

 

Conversions from r12 to 134a have been going on successfully for years regardless of the system.  Just have to make sure the seals are replaced.
