Things to do while hosting a VW campout

Okay - I'm very interested in having some events at this year's Bus City campout, but am very lazy when camping out and like to drink beer and relax. So, I'm curious what fun things have worked at campouts in the past.

I know Maupin does a beer exchange/tasting. That seems fun.

The walking tour of buses we did at Fall Finnon Fest last year was fun.

The potluck at Thanksgiving we did was awesome.

Anyone else have a good suggestion? Aside from pulling up a lawn chair to watching some sucker try to replace something on his bus?

So what's wrong with being lazy, drinking beer and watching some sucker work on his bus? :)

I like beer. I like to work on buses. I like to be lazy.

I think a beer/wine tasting event would about fit the bill of strenuous activity.

Think of things for the teens to do. We have ping pong, pool, fooseball, and slot cars at TROM. Teenagers and even the tweeners are a royal pain when they're bored.

I've seen the slow race before - not at a Bus event but at a Harley rally - it is a fun idea.

Speaking of beer, one of the camping groups in Canada, (Mon Oncle en Folie) has a contest for who's camper fridge has the coldest beer. It is a test performed by the campout leaders and stoping by each contetant and tasting/sampling and rating the coldest beer. By the 5th or 6th contest entry ..... it does not really matter and a lot of fun.

At BusFusion, there was a contest for the best gadgets and best outfited van with these gadget. This is a good opportunity to meet all campers and have them show off what tricks and gadgets they've added to their vans.
