Whell and Tire size for a 1991 Syncro full camper

Hi all

I am in the process of looking for light truck rated tires for my syncro. They need to have a rating of at least 1400 ibs. I have been running 15 in but am having a lot of trouble finding good winter/wet weather tires in that size. I am thinking about moving up to 16 in wheels and tires. Can anyone recommend a good tire??

Go Westy has an article in there Tech Library on tires and wheels. I have seen a number of syncros with 17's and from what I have heard from them they really like them. I have 16's on my 87 Westy 2wd with the new springs and shocks and it drives and handles great. Oh and I have noticed most of them run BF Goodrich radial T/A's. Good luck.
