Can you tell me what that little white knob is beside your spicket? I have one (am new owner of 1978 westfalia) and i don't know what it is. Thamks!

mine has a silver lever and that white knob. the silver lever turns it on and off.i cant make the white knob do anything??

I suspect then that you have an aftermarket faucet (see pg. 10, here):

...no lever.

Although,
 Maybe (and this is speculation on my part) the faucet with a button and a hand pump is dual-use: button for when you have plenty of juice, pump for when you don't.

oh- didn't think of that.  i don't even think i have a pump.  new to all of this, so i am unsure of what i have and don't have.  of course i have plenty of rust...haha!

Dear all... The little white button is indeed the button which operates a little electric pump to push the water. Happy camping!!
