I can't make it this year, maybe next. "Xena" slipped out of 4th on the f way. It only happened once, so not that worried. Bus is dragging since the brakes got adjusted...too tight I think. Loosen the brakes and clutch, and we should be flyn again soon.

One of these days I hope to meet you face to face. On my Van's Facebook page, there are more comments from you than from anyone else. I guess virtual will have to do for a while yet - sob, sob.

We will be there! We are going to try and camp Thursday through Sunday. Our group is behind the stage, across the sidewalk, and next to the Vegas group. If you need a ride from Vegas I'm sure someone would be glad to bring you down! The link on the samba usually has more info but I haven't been on either yet so??? Definitely if you want a ride the samba thread might be the way to go.

We are going, it was great last year and we are going to being on our winter road trip of about 2 to 3 months with BBB as the highlight of the trip. We've been several times and always had a great time. We were there for Buses by the Fridge a few years back also, so be ready for anything. If you're thinking about going, just go, you'll love it. We will be in the star ship "Galaxy", our 83 white Westy with the Tattoo on it ass, come by and say hi!!!

Hey Leslie I took my bus last year jumping out of 4th gear periodically, they can go along way like that. Get a bungy cord at Walmart hook one end to the back of the passenger seat and the other to the stick when in 4th. It was worth it.

Quillen, that's the VW spirit. Have you any tips to add to the Discussion topic on mechanics? I know you gave me lots of advice and tips on where to look up resources when I was on the road and a newbie at all this.

I got email about phone meeting on the first, we will be around. It would be fun to meet up at BBB, maybe we can plan to meet up for a meal or something like that?
The group I camp with has a big musical jam session Friday night so if anyone is musical bring your axe! (Or drum, or wind instrument...) :-)
I found bus and bug cookie cutters yesterday on VW.com, my daughter and I are going to try and make a bunch to sell as fundraiser. I will be bringing 4 teens with me (so help me) I need stuff to keep them busy!

only 5 weeks!!! Not booked a flight or hotel room yet!
Wonderful idea to meet for a meal - thanks 4 suggesting. Not sure if any others here are coming. Pretty sure Quillen and Westywoman are attending. Easier to reach them on Facebook.

Hi everyone! I will be at BBB! If you see my bus please stop by and say Hi! Its the multi blue striped bus with South Carolina tags! I am really looking forward to this~ it will be my first "west coast" outing! It sounds like a lot of fun, I hope the weather will be warm and lovely for us!

Kim~ How do I find the Samba Link? I am looking around but not having much luck~ i did find the BBB event posted but no contact info. I want to see if I can find some of the Vegas peoples~ we traveled to Vegas last night and are trying to get up with other Busers... Any advice? Anyone?
The first guy who chased us out of a parking lot was from Tennessee (I'm traveling from the Carolinas) and he said "Its not like the South here, there are NO nice people here." I hope it isn't true!!

I know the Vegas club caravans down, and also Carole is getting ride with Eric, EZGRUV on the samba. Not sure when they all are driving out, hope this helps!
