On March 31, 1965, I almost died. Every day since then has been a day I didn't deserve. It's been a gift, and I've had almost fifty years of them. I'd like to celebrate these gifts with some other gifts I've been given over the years ... the friendships I've collected from some of the most wonderful people I've had the pleasure to know.
I'll bring the Tent of Doom and wine. You bring wine, wood, and you sweet selves.
You can reserve campsites through http://www.reserveamerica.com/
Ditto Kris...
The Best,
See you all at Bus City
Philip & Diana
My thanks to one and all for helping me celebrate the last half-century. We'll do it again in fifty years...
I especially want to thank the people who just showed up on Saturday but weren't camping ... they blew a perfectly good Saturday that they could have spent doing something else, but came to the party anyway.
KampnKing and Cane-rattler, you were with us in spirit. Sorry that you couldn't be there in the flesh, but let's hope there's always a next time.
See y'all at Bus City.
Fun times... I am having trouble navigating the site, I posted info on the BS board and now I cannot find it.
Dillon beach May 29-31, does this work? You can only reserve 60 days in advance and right now only 1 spot has been taken along the sea wall. This is 2 weekend after Bus City and 2 weekends before Train Spotting, and before the schools out vacation crush.
All who thought those solar powered LED lanterns were pretty neat should know they are available at BIG 5. Both Regis and Mike have already purchased some. Here's a link to order them directly:
I have to say I was very impressed with their performance and space -saving inflatable design. Heresy, but I will say it out loud here: these will be my new standard carry lantern in my bus. I have retired the low-flame Dietz-style lanterns.
I will take your word for it, just ordered the spring special from Mpowerd...
The Luci EMG is a four LED. Three for light and one for the red. The globe is frosted and the bottom is clear. Easy on the eyes. Color is cooler than the ten LED unit. The SOS setting is red and flashes the SOS in morse code. It has a loop for hanging on the top only so clear side points down.
These are nice to have for many reasons.
I'm still in love with the erl lanterns though.
Looks like the difference between the ten LED orange package vs blue package is the blue is for outdoors. Can't see a prop either way though.
I'll stop burning up bandwidth by saying Melissa's bro started all this. Yeah, it's all his fault.
OK. One more then I'll leave it alone.
That was a fun GTG. You people are the best.
I have the spring special which gives me 2 Aura's and 1 Original white. The Aura's have 7 diff colors to choose from, or a constant changing mode, or white for reading.
