Event Description
We are going back to Sandy Beach in Rio Vista, CA. This is our annual practice run and food fest before Thanksgiving. Reserve sites soon as they may go fast if the sport fishermen/women come back this year.
Party Central will be at spot #4.

We are bringing stuffing, turkey meatballs, mac & cheese, cheese and crackers, and some beef for the grill. Unfortunately, all our cutting boards are more like game hen size.

If no one else chimes in I can bring one but it doesn't have a gutter to collect any juicy runoff. If my recollection is any good, I recall Peter carving right in the aluminum pan. I am bringing two of those.

I have a turkey-size cutting board that collects juice. I am adding it to the pile as I type.

The bird is thawing nicely and without a fight. The cavity is now devoid of neck and giblets and sitting in a marinade in the refrigerator. Do not be alarmed if the bird (and me) do not arrive until Saturday am. Things may delay our arrival but we will be there.

I just heard from Al and he's not gonna be able to make it after all this weekend. His site number was 33 but he doesn't know that it got paid for because the computer system was down that day. So we really don't know whether his site 33 is available for use or not. He's going to try to call down to the park and let them know but he's got some other things on his mind today.
