Event Description
Join us in the beautiful Napa Valley at Napa Bothe State Park for a celebration of the full moon. We'll enjoy pre-prandials and Thanksgiving-style fare at the Saturday night potluck dinner. This park does not take reservations after November 1 and is usually half-empty this time of year. If we're lucky, Joel will bring the deep-fryer for the turkey and JLT will bring the Tent of Doom to ward off the chill. Anyone need a Coleman Stove Carrying Bag? It will fit Coleman Propane Stoves but not Grills or Grill-Stoves. If you want it, I will bring it along.
Regis, I'm not sure at this point we will see the moon at all.

I kinda like the rain. Especially if I don't have to sit directly in it.
Westywoman, if you'd prefer I do some greens, I'm game. (although I only know the most simple formula of oliveoil+greens+onion+abitolemon+saltnpeppah+heat=yum) Bacon can be a tasty addition but kills it for any vegetarians in attendance. Let me know!

To my knowledge, no vegetarians planning to attend. (I made a query recently). Please bring along whatever makes you happy. The potlucks are always interesting for the odd juxtapositions of food.

Let's keep the "Who's Attending" roster up-to-date. If we get the ten buses expected, and maybe a couple more, then the smaller sunshade setup would be adequate. But if it's more than that, I'd need the extension.
(Brett tells me that we had 25 buses at Bus City on Saturday night, and managed to get everybody under that sunshade alone, but it was awfully tight.)

Blast! I was planning on attending, but my starter battery died. Now I am struggling trying to get the @!*#%! thing out of the box under the seat. There's a brace that is seriously impeding any progress. Any suggestions?

The forecasts I have seen look like bands of rain and not a solid deluge like we endured at Mt. Madonna two years ago. With two big tents, we will be quite comfortable. I am nevertheless glad I finally bought some rain pants at REI this fall. As to food shopping, I am done, I concentrated on meal items that don't require cooking on an outdoor stove. I am bringing a Beaujolais Nouveau and maybe some Kahlua to add to a hot drink. See you there!
