Event Description
It's time to see everyone again! Join us for a fun-filled weekend at Finnon Lake Recreation Area. Decorate your bus/van, bring your costumes and let's get together for a long overdue camping weekend.
$30/per site per night. All reservations must be done through www.hipcamp.com
Search for Placerville, CA and then pick your site and reserve. Reserve soon as the camping has been filling up quickly for this campground.

Campfires may be permitted but sometimes are not due to fire season.

Yes we moved! Joe and I live where i grew up in Duluth, MN near my mom, a big lake to sail on and a big North Shore to camp on. The Finnon Lake Halloween weekend is one of our favorite camp outs and we will miss you all! ...especially Laura’s night time wine and light up bocce game :) We just got some snow here yesterday and bought our season passes to Spirit Mountain for some midwestern snowboarding. We unfortunately wont be able to make it this weekend after all. We will miss everyone and hope soup or bowl will be a go in January!

It does look like the Soup Or Bowl Weekend will be our next big event, assuming that the pandemic is under control in one way or another. I've given up on the idea of the Thanksgiving event as a potluck, since it looks like Sandy Beach is closed to camping until further notice.

Hi Everyone -
Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend.
I just spoke with the campground host and we are allowed to use our camp stoves, bbq briquettes and they are allowing camp fires. If conditions change, they will let us know when we arrive at camp if we will be unable to have a camp fire. Plan to bring wood, wine, laughter and music.

OMG, this is such a bummer! I can't make. I rent to travel nurses. I currently have a hospice nurse in the trailer on my property. I'm having plumbing issues in the trailer and so stressed out trying to fix it on my own with the help of youtube videos, to no avail, yet. Damn, I wish Philip was here. He would have fixed it straight away. This is part of my livelihood and can't hold up this serious issue. I have a guy coming out Friday to help me, in the meantime the nurse is staying inside my house. I was so looking forward to seeing dear friends. I'm so sorry! John, I'd be happy to pay you for the 2 nights I committed to. Let me know how I can send you my half. Laura May, thank you for opening this event. It sounded so fun! And I was looking forward to showing you my new ride, too. So, it sounds like the next event is soup or bowl? Diana...
