Event Description

We can't do Finnon this Fall, so we're moving the fest to Turtle Rock. It's our first time with this site, so we'll see how it works for us.

If the fire danger is high, we won't be allowed to have a campfire. If it's not, campfires are allowed and the camp hosts sell firewood for $6 a bundle.

If there's public sentiment for a potluck on Saturday, we can do that, too.

Comment by John LaTorre on September 13, 2011 at 10:13am: The" LaTorreTripod(tm)" is actually something that Al Knoll showed me (and he said he got the design from somebody else). So I can't take credit for it and, if it has a tendency to collapse once something has been hung from it, will repudiate any link I might have with it.

But chili is a good idea (assuming we can have fires at all). You furnish the pot.

ps. By my calculations, there are only 2 bowls to a lid... (I like to pack big bowls for camping.)

Last time we camped at Turtle Rock they had Karaoke night!
