Let's get into condition for Thanksgiving with our third (or is it fourth?) Annual Thanksgiving Feed. This year we'll be at Del Valle, where it maybe won't rain so much. We'll provide a turkey, but bring whatever side dishes you want for the Saturday Potluck under the Tent of Doom.

Joe: That would be Regis's spot, so just say you're him when you come in.  He's already told us that he won't be able to camp, but I'm sure he'd appreciate getting reimbursed for the spot.

Hey Ma'ili Pt., I posted a response several days ago, may have done it with the iPhone, which doesn't always work; and we coerced you via Facebook, So: Yes! Yes! Absolutely we have reserved our other half of the site for you, bring Rusty, and see if Deb will brave the cold so we can talk horses!

Regis posts:

Greetings.

Spots 20 and 21 are nice spots.  But at this time of the year it can be wet.  The driveway is a bit lower than the ground and the water can settle.  They are under two or three large trees and the leaves drop.

Make sure to have a looksie while your there.

The spots for the GTG, 35-41 are good for this time of year.  Pretty dry even if it's raining as far as the driveway areas.  Your spot may puddle up at the table area since it is below the driveway.

No worries.

A side note is that you may want to let the troops know that spot 37 is being donated for both nights since I can't stay over night.  It'd be better to fill it for both nights with the gang.

Sounds like there should be a good turn out.  The gawdz are against me  but I'll be back.

I'll do something else to get into the park for a visit.  I'll try to get there around 5ish on Friday.   Gonna have to leave by 9.

While it is true that the gate gets locked at 10 pm, one can always leave.  The gate area has an in and an out.  The gate to come in gets locked.  The out part has a tire spike thingy.

Once you're out, you're out.  There is no backing over the spikes.  You'll see when you enter the CG.

Spot 37 is available for two nights.  IF, IF , IF , no one fills it for Friday night, I'll park there for the visit.  Or any open spot for Friday night for that matter.

Maybe somebody can only make it for Saturday night or something.  Looks like it may be a full house.  Schweet.

No worries, though.  I'll get into the park.

Peace,

Regis

Hey New VW Friends,

Unfortunately, we won't be able to make this event as we had hoped to.  We are traveling on this weekend down to San Diego for the Thanksgiving week.  Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving with your friends and families.

Scott, Carl and Trinity, hope to see you soon. Trinity could have used her pink fishing pole at the lake. Next time!

Joe and I have two of those little Coleman camping stove ovens. How about Friday night being a Pizza Night?

And we should start thinking about what we're bringing. At the moment, we have:

Westywoman: Turkey

JLT: Salt potatoes, cranberry sauce

Kris: Crab something

We need: salad, bread, pies, maybe mashed potatoes, any of your specialties ....

Just picked up a 15 lb. bird. Into the fridge to thaw. Last year it took 4 days to thaw and was still icy on the inside when we dropped it in the fryer. Surprise!
