The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather River Canyon, it is a real treat!

Those looking for hot springs can find them a couple miles up the road. Formerly known as "Woody's", the Feather River Hot Springs are now associated with an RV park and cabins. I think you need to call to make a reservation.

The Twain Store is walking distance from the campground and has ice, ice cream, deli items, breakfast and lunch, beer and much more.
The camp host will have firewood for sale.
You can tour the Seven Wonders of the Railroad World in Plumas County:
I'm sorry we will miss you, Gene. Best wishes with the sale.
I will be at the next event with my new to me an Vanagon.
Heads up: The temps for Friday and Saturday are highs around 90, lows around 55. So come prepared for more heat than usual for this event.
Thanks for the weather report John. Don't forget that the Twain Store is only a quick 1/4 mile walk from the campground and they have upped their game in terms of meals in recent years. Here's the menu.https://twainresort.com/menu
Bring mosquito repellent. Some years they have been biting around dawn and dusk.
I have been told that the second half of my spot will be filled by static. I mean Static. See you all soon!
I was wondering about that! Good news!
Thanks to all who made it! And especially Paul, who gets the furthest traveled award. It was hot, so many enjoyed the river, including the dogs. It sure was nice to be able to congregate normally again, and catch up with all old-timers and meet the newcomers. Even Joe and Corey made a cameo appearance for a few hours.
Thanks for hosting, WW! I had a good time, and it was great to play music with Brett and Asha!
