The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather River Canyon, it is a real treat! The weather can be variable in June.

Those looking for hot springs can find them a couple miles up the road. Formerly known as "Woody's", the Feather River Hot Springs are now associated with an RV park and cabins. I think you need to call to make a reservation.

The Twain Store is walking distance from the campground and has ice, ice cream, deli items, breakfast and lunch, beer and much more.
The camp host will have firewood for sale.

Unfortunately due to some family issues, I won't be able to attend. If someone here would like #19...with electricity... please let me know. Otherwise I'll kick it back in the reservation pool.
Have fun!!
Haven't heard from the Marlows... are they going to be there?
Blake and Erin are in site #3.
For those of you that haven't been to Hallsted Campground in the last few years, you should know that the Twain Store has really stepped up its food game. Breakfast lunch and dinner are available and it is an easy 1/4 mile walk from our campground. They also have staples like ice and beer, of course. Check out the menu and bring your appetite! Sites 1, 6, 7, and 8 are still available as of today. #19, Kris' old site is reserved for June 3 only.
