Ita in Lake Forest just off 5 and El Toro
Good to see some people from SoCal on here. We've been meaning to plan a "meet in the middle" campout for a while now!
Heck ya! We'd be down for a lil camp-out! Done the grounds here in Trabuco Canyon a bunch of times... always fun with a Bus Depot tent that fits 12!!!  Everyones always asking "wheres the DJ gonna set up?" hahaha

SV2 (Strictly Vintage II) meets the first Friday of every month at Coco's on Balboa Ave, Clairmont. Great resource and great folks. Come on out.
Sweet! Good to know there are more of us out there! Well have to swing by!
Tell 'em Trapper sent you :)

Do both of these clubs still meet on these dates provided?  We started a South Bay VW Camper Club about two years ago, and really only Kat T (Lucy) and myself, Hermosakid (Linus) still actively go camping together.  We both would love to get more activities and participation in camping events.

After my upcoming Chicago trip, we will be planning some campouts such as on Sep 12 & 13, 2013 at Leo Carrillo State Beach.  C'mon out and join Linus and I...

I live in Eastlake.  My bus is down at this time but I hope to have it running by the end of the summer or sooner.  We stayed at Leo Carrillo State Beach last summer.  Nice enough campground but a bit crowded.

I'm also in Southern California (SFV) and would love to find other VW fans to camp out with :)

That’s fantastic news! A VeeDub night at Fuddruckers sounds like an awesome idea, and it’s great that you’ve set a regular schedule for it starting in March. It’s sure to zumba livestream become a fun monthly event for VW enthusiasts to gather, share stories, and celebrate all things VeeDub.

Since you're just getting started, here are a few thoughts and ideas that might help make the event even more exciting and engaging for everyone:

Event Promotion: Make sure to spread the word beyond just flyers. You can create an event page on social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) to build excitement leading up to the first night. Also, consider connecting with local VW clubs or forums to let more people know about it.

Show and Shine: If space allows, you could host a mini "Show and Shine" where attendees bring their VWs and park together for a cool display. This way, everyone gets to admire each other’s rides and connect over shared passion for the vehicles.

Themed Nights: Consider having some themed nights or challenges. For example, one month could feature a "Best VW Customization," or "Vintage VWs," or even "Tuning and Performance" night where enthusiasts talk about mods and upgrades.

Food Specials: Since it’s at Fuddruckers, why not team up with the restaurant to create some VW-themed food specials or drinks for the night? A "VeeDub Burger" or something fun that ties into the theme could be a cool touch.

Trophies or Raffles: For extra fun, you could host a raffle or give out small trophies for categories like "Best Restored VW" or "Most Unique Ride." This could add a competitive element to the event.

Meetups and Drives: After the event, if it works for the group, consider organizing short drives or cruises together—perhaps heading out to a local spot for coffee or just a scenic drive. This can help the VW community bond even more.

I’m sure your VeeDub night will become a great monthly tradition for all the VW lovers around the area. Best of luck, and have a blast planning it!
